I want to take a minute and pause from my usually blog activity to highlight a very important man in my life, and a very important cause.
Supporting Jason Markowycz
Jason is my fiance. He is 45, otherwise healthy and active with 2 boys in high school. In October we went to the ER for some shortness of breath, and while conducting routine scans, doctors found masses in his colon, liver and lungs. The sent us to follow up with a oncologist. About a month later he was diagnosed with "stage 4 advanced metastatic colon cancer" it had spread to the liver and lungs. Jason is receiving palliative and supportive care and we are told it is incurable.
I am holding a fund raising event for Jason.
